Come join the fun as we make our own reproduction
Maggie Bessie Doll
From noon of April 23rd through noon of April 25th, 2010
Cindy will teach how to make the doll using the pattern by Bradley Justice who researched the doll and published articles concerning the wonderful little doll made by the Phol sisters in Winston Salem, NC.
All supplies will be furninshed by Cindy except for your own sewing machine and basic sewing supplies.
(Sewing machines are available upon request for those who may have
difficulty traveling with theirs).
The finished doll will be painted with acrylic paints and done according to Cindy's own techniques.
The workshop will be held in Macon, NC right on the waterfront at Lake Gaston, NC. All accomodations and meals will be furnished by the owners of the home Gay Sharon and Walter Brothers.
And we may have a quest appearance by Bradley himself who will give a short program on the history of the doll and its makers.
The cost of the workshop is an amazing $225
Meals provided go from dinner on Friday night April 23rd to Lunchtime on Sunday April 25th.
